The pool is heated at L'Ma Lodge
Why wait until May to swim?
We are very pleased to announce that the pool at L'Ma Lodge is heated from March 15th until November 15th (outside these dates, it is possible for exclusivities or with supplements).
Date harvest at L'Ma Lodge
It is in October that the dates of the date palms reach maturity. It is the time of the harvest. Done in a traditional way by professionals, it requires climbing all the top of the palm trees, barefoot and without safety and this whatever their height. An impressive exercise of acrobatics to see.
Then, the dates can be preserved for a long time in the shelter of the light in a fresh and dry place. In the morning with the breakfast, or with a mint tea, it is the dates of the garden which are served to you.
Olive picking at L'Ma Lodge
At L'Ma Lodge, we produce and consume our own organic olive oil, which is of excellent quality and contributes to the flavour of our cuisine.
Every year, in mid-November, there is an olive harvest in the Skoura palm grove. This harvesting activity is mainly carried out by the women of the palm grove, as you need to be light and agile enough to climb to the top of the olive trees in order to harvest the highest ones.
The olives and olive oil of the Skoura palm grove are renowned for their quality.
Henna tattooing at L'Ma Lodge
Henna is a plant, more precisely a shrub. It is by reducing its leaves into powder, the form in which it is most used and known, that we obtain the dye called "henna".
During your stay at L'Ma Lodge, you have the opportunity to get natural henna tattoos of brown color. These tattoos are made by families of the palm grove in a traditional way with quality henna. You can then enjoy this asset of ephemeral seduction, rooted in Moroccan traditions.
